Via local teacher resident Yolanda, we are very happy to say that CAntell School have kindly agreed to copy a letter for us to distribute to local residents. Here’s the text – and now we just need YOU to come and help deliver them! THANKS CANTELL!
A MESSAGE TO OUR NEIGHBOURS FROM
a community festival celebrating our river in the city
Bank Holiday Saturday 27 May 2017
Riverside Park, Southampton
10am to sunset at 9pm
We are reaching out to all local people to make sure you know about Riverfest – the community fun day to celebrate and enjoy our river.
We have invited local artists, scientists & historians to come and share their river knowledge with us. And there will be a local music stage, acoustic music around the park, poetry and prose, food/bar from local businesses & lots of family activities too.
And we need your help….
Can you Volunteer a few hours as a Riverfest Steward?
Can you help distribute Riverfest posters & flyers in the area
Can you to decorate your riverside garden or pontoon with flags or bunting on 27 May?
Get out on the water on Riverfest Day!
Most importantly, tell other local people about Riverfest and come and enjoy the day with friends and neighbours
Our contact info is below – please get in touch NOW if you can help in any of these – or any other ways, or with your questions.
Thanks – and see you at Riverfest
